What Mrs. Eddy established as C.S. is the God-directed divine reality.  And she did it, not as the outcome of some active human mutation appearing as the activity of her mind struggling against adversity and on the same plane as other minds, but she did it simply as the angel-scribe, inditing, showing forth, giving us what IS, NOW.  It is all finished, perfect, all here at the point of consciousness, the one Mind.

How utterly foreign and contrary to this understanding is the so-called man is God philosophy as illustrated by the mass of mental science garbage flooding the metaphysical arena.  The deceit of C. S’tists cannot avert the effects of mortal conceit when C. S’tists think some “good” might be obtained by delving into such nonsense.  The whole business is man trying to be God, is man saying, implying, and being
God by thinking his mind is him.  Well it is not.  Man is man.  And God is his Mind, but never could be man.  The whole of error is man thinking that the consciousness coming to him is he himself thinking it, and so mental science alias mortal conjecture takes over to bring to pass all that the mortal decides for itself, thinking that its his right to have what he decides upon for himself, because, after all, the consciousness coming to him is him thinking it.  such nonsense.  And C.S’tists so asleep!

Nowhere does Mrs. Eddy imply or suggest such a thing.  What causes the “pop” or negation, what causes sin, sickness, disease or death, in other words, what constitutes a “patient” is the distance between what one knows as reality and the belief about what one knows as reality.  If I have a belief that 2 x 2 = 5 I will be FORCED to conform to the principle of 2 x 2 in order to remove the belief.  And I will be a “patient” until I fully acknowledge the principle of mathematics on the specific point involved.  How empty the hospitals would become if the Principle of Being were adhered to.

The point is, a patient is a patient because of his belief in place of understanding.  Our O. V. “C.C.T.” p. 706 says that the greatest danger to the believer is his belief that C. S. is for the purpose of healing disease or sin.  Well we know it is not.  Why?  Because “the mind that believes there is something to be healed is the same mind that holds within itself all that constitutes the disease, and therefore is not the Mind that can correct it.” (underlining my own, P.)

So as C.S’tists our purpose is to simply be what we are as this one man of God, to simply be—effect.  That’s how Mrs. Eddy did it as the scribe under orders.  And look at the silly nonsense of our C. S. friends wanting to be IT, very Mind itself, and operating on that basis.

The so-called “patient” is of course—and always—“The negative statement about Truth, about Mind,”

(O.V. 191/247) or appearing as the “CLAIM:  The specific appearing of God, negatively interpreted.”  So all your activity must be found as the one activity of the one divine Mind, the one Consciousness that IS, the exact opposite of “animal magnetism or hypnotism.”

What Mrs. Eddy said of Jesus on p. 18 of S & H is equally true of you.  Although he was the Exemplar, you have the same “Christ” he had.  So your “mission is both individual and collective.”  A— does “life’s work aright, not only in justice to himself, but in mercy to mortals,—to show them how to do theirs, but not to do it for them nor to relieve them of a single responsibility.”  A— “acted boldly, against the accredited evidence of the senses, against Pharisaical creeds and practices, and he refuted all opponents with His healing power.”  A—, you’re the man living this Truth, and having to meet the negative of what is reality to you.  The headache is but the split or inflamed belief between what you know and the belief about what you know.  It has nothing to do with “nerves, bones, brain and other material elements.”

As a business man please consider.  The “patient” with each in C. S., in the “Clear, Correct, Teaching” understanding of Science and Health, is malicious mind claiming to be your Mind appearing as the belief of mortal’s controlling the understanding and practice of business in all its phases, and malicious mind looking with lust in their eyes to business

for control and guidance, or looking to YOU for control and guidance—instead of to divine Mind, the spiritual fact of reality,—again all being a phase of man trying to be God.  And it is MALICIOUS and should be seen as such although we never attack person.

It all negates Science and Health with its “inspired Word” given by Mary Baker Eddy that scribe under orders.  Science and Health is the Leader to the one Mind the one divine Principle.  It’s here now and must be practiced therefrom.  Said a different way, to the one Mind, Science and Health is our Leader, leading us forward.

This lie of what C.S. on earth now is, as business, is no different than any and all lies, whatever the destructive claim.  But it is the #1 claim in the public thought to meet, and this lie will go right on claiming to be the lie-mind of the “C.C.T.” understanding until the Christ-Truth rules solely on and in the place of this lie.  It is a lie only in the “C.C.T.” understanding, not a lie in the mind and believer of the one who has erroneous business standards.  See My. 266:1-9 for the negation here.

Now to be more specific:  It all comes as consciousness, and since you are not God, Mind, consciousness, it is not and could not possibly be you.  To you or me or anyone with a patient or claim coming as consciousness, how do we do our C.C.T. knowing?  As the O.V. says re the Class Drill, Chapter IX “handling” its 27 claims or cases, the analysis is never a “formulae,” it is simply the logical

order of what is involved.  So in the order of the knowing:

1. Establish what is, the conviction, the one Mind as my Mind. Turn to Mind and wholly away from the claim.  To have one handful of the claim and the other with divine Mind is not the 1st step.  To do so is to be divided.  It is the “C.C.T.” practice to start with the one Mind only.  Learn the KEY as given on page 392 of the One Volume.

I should have brought out before we establish point number 1 above that if the anatomy involved was not clear at the very outset, that of course precedes “the utilization of the power of Truth over error” (S&H 111:12).  In other words we don’t have “Christian Science, with which can be discerned the spiritual fact of whatever the material senses behold,” if we don’t have a proper and correct sense of what the material senses behold.  Or, to put it another way, we can’t reverse what we don’t understand, or are unaware of.  The only thing we know generally is we’ve got a claim.  General knowing generally does not reverse a claim.  We must get specific.  Hence we must get the anatomy involved. And that is mental, even though it sometimes appears physically to fool the very elect.

2. One must speak to the disease, the patient or the claim “as one having authority over it, leaving Soul to master the false evidences of the corporeal senses and to assert its claims over mortality

and disease.”  (S&H 395:6-11)

Just as Mind has to have its effect to be Mind, so its negative statement or supposititious opposite alias the Dragon malicious mind has to have its belief.  The D. M. M. hides as long as it hypnotically can behold its two “prestidigitators”—the Beast (the belief of mind in matter called a material sense body) and the False Prophet (malicious mental malpractice mentalities)—for the instant the Dragon malicious mind is seen as the sole ENEMY instead of its two “bluffers,” its day is short indeed for it is doomed.  The one Divine Mind reigns for the sole reality it IS.

It’s for this reason I can never appreciate the one who spends more time reading mental science literature, impure as it is because mixed with human psychology, and then calling themselves C.S’tists.  In the 1st place if they actually UNDERSTOOD that S&H was written by God they wouldn’t want to waste time with other junk.  2ndly they just illustrate they don’t understand S&H and its Place as the unfolding of MAN as it becomes digested.  And 3rd, when they read this Religious Science, Science of Mind and Unity material there’s no possible way to discern the moral atmosphere of the writer who permeates his writings with his own mental mood and so contaminates his readers with conclusions drawn from either the Beast-mind, the False Prophet, both the effects of the Dragon malicious mind which the student of C.S. has difficulty enough discerning, let along the mental scientist regardless of his sincerity for writing

whatever he does, having his conclusions based on a mixture of psychology interwoven with religious concepts.  If their concept of God is sadly awry, their conclusions will mislead the very elect.  They are off on some of the basic concepts.  For example they say there is a God because their senses declare the beauty of the sunset, the loveliness of the flowers, etc, not realizing that these same senses and its mind that declares this beauty and loveliness just as positively declares the opposite—the flowers fading, the sunset dreary, etc.  Consequently, “a double minded man is unstable in all his ways,” said Paul.  You just have to let mental scientists alone until God forces them to stop having two minds.  And this is true of all mortals.  But when we have the exact Christ-like understanding it’s beyond me why people insist on reading “other” literature for questionable insights.  I’ve got my hands full with our wonderful Textbook and our prophecy-fulfilling O.V. complete.

3. Now comes the vital point. After arriving at the omnipresence and infinity of Mind’s Allness, the belief or claim is next dealt with.  Not to change it at all from a thing that is wrong to a thing that is right!  But the exact reverse.  To see that the anatomy involved is right, perfect NOW.

Evil always has to appear as its person, place or thing as hypnotism.  Each of the 27 cases in Chapter IX of the Class Drill settles the perfection of the anatomy effect involved.  Getting the anatomy involved is a tuning-up so to speak for what is to follow.

The real healing point of the “C.C.T” Christ-knowing is:  “In order to take malicious mind into your Father’s presence you have to strip it of every semblance of matter (and you can’t do this unless you get the specific anatomy involved so you can unsee its silly physicality).  You cannot take malicious mind in, with a belief of some material thing wrong, or even with a belief of a wrong thing. . . The wedding supper is purity itself and you have got to free malicious mind absolutely, in your own thought, from any contamination with matter.  See that there is no matter to it whatever, nor a belief of matter; then it is pure and you will just go right in with your pure malicious mind, uncontaminated in the slightest with matter or matter belief.  You will go right in to your Father’s presence and He will immediately talk to you.  You will not have to talk to Him.”  (O.V. 932-934). Think of it!  Effect is brushed aside in its perfection.  That’s exactly how Jesus and Mrs. Eddy did it.  That in the purity of thought the Dragon malicious mind lie is taken through the Holy of Holies gate into His presence.

This is the Healing place.  The spot where “being lost in the eminence of Mind the healing takes place,” said Mrs. Eddy.  Healing is always instantaneous simultaneous in this oneness, this ISNESS with Mind.  Healing starts with and is at the point of the one Mind, wholly replacing any other consciousness with the

Consciousness that is, my sole and only Mind.  This is the spiritualization realization that is called Christian Science healing, the hypnotism now gone, and all the time the right mental reality was there but misseen.

Let me restate here this business of dealing with effect, before going to this suppositional mind cause, the one only enemy.  Man is effect, hence always dealing with Cause, never with effect.  We are really not primarily dealing with effect here, hence I need to restate it so no mistaken sense is inferred.  The sole beginning is with the one Mind, the divine Principle that is ALL, the Consciousness that IS.  This 1st step is thus bringing this one Mind to bear on the claim, the belief, the hypnotism, that the evil or disease or trouble is a person, place or thing.  If one starts his reasoning with effect (See O.V. 392 “This then is the Key…”) the hypnotic illusion, he can never get to the “manipulator,” the “prestidigitator,” with evil whose name is the Dragon malicious mind, and whose hypnotism as “Cause” is man trying to be God.

An excellent analysis in the “C.C.T.” of bringing God the one divine Mind down to the creature or thing or place as perfection with no “entity apart from God” is in “Whoso,” pages 472-473.  The Dragon malicious mind is now faced directly in its purity as sole evil, the negative statement of the one pure divine Mind, and with this the “wedding garment” on, and man find he is not man as mortal malicious mind, but the man of God, the one man of the

one Mind, in this whole infinity of perfection.

All is Mind, whether with the person, or the whole world, or the universe.  It always comes and has to come as consciousness:  “The only logical conclusion is that all is Mind and its manifestation, from the rolling of the worlds, in the most subtle ether, to a potato patch.”  (Misc. 26: 5-8)

Every so-called problem is right at hand, running along divine Love’s highway for the now larger sense of God in His ever rising light.
